I’m Alicia Gearty—a Brooklyn-based designer and type specialist with over 14 years of experience. My undying obsession with puzzles and maps has influenced my approach to problem-solving through well-researched and purposeful design. I’m a multi-passionate and nimble designer with a range of skills, including branding, art direction, event design, typesetting, web design, and hand lettering.

I’m really into patterns, shapes, and lines. I draw inspiration from the Bauhaus and the Constructivism art movements. My current favorite typeface is Acma by Pangram Pangram. I’m a stickler for pixel-perfect alignment, a sucker for a handwritten note, and I want my cats to sit next to me.
