Liz’s Book Bar

Liz’s Book Bar is a bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Founded by author Maura Cheeks, Liz’s Book Bar recreates the sense of connection and creativity unique to independent bookstores. Aside from the logo and base colors, I built out the Liz’s Book Bar brand assets and designed templated signs, social posts, menus and store signage.

The store is named after the owner’s grandmother, Elizabeth Parker, who inspired Maura to become an author and taught her to love reading. We aim every day to live up to Liz’s legacy—she was sophisticated, the life of the party, and kind to everyone.
